Never-Enuff BBS - There History of Never-Enuff

The History of Never-Enuff

Never-Enuff began in October 1994 as Never-Enuff BBS, which is still operational to this day. From the start, our mission has been to serve and support the community by providing reliable internet access.

In the early days, we offered internet connectivity through Excalibur Software using Flipsock and Zedsock, operating multiple dial-up nodes in Spangler, PA, and Fair Oaks (Ambridge), PA. By 1997, we transitioned into a full-fledged PPP dial-up ISP, initially launching with over 50 dial-in lines. Over the years, our coverage expanded significantly, and by the time we ceased dial-up operations in 2007, we had grown to over 600 dial-in lines—serving customers across the entire United States from our data center in Spangler (Northern Cambria, PA).

During the dial-up era, Never-Enuff pioneered home-brew DSL, utilizing LADA circuits to deliver blazing 2 to 4 Mbps connections to customers in select areas. Around the same time, we also began deploying our wireless network using Canopy Wireless 5.2 and 5.7 GHz Access Points and CPEs, achieving great success in expanding broadband accessibility.

Today, Never-Enuff continues to evolve, embracing new technologies while staying true to our original commitment—delivering high-quality internet services to our community and beyond.
